Zizzel Barbudo gets a phone call-- unbearable human happiness is available NOW for NO CASH DOWN, at a LOW FIXED RATE, with ZERO PAYMENTS until ennui is FINALLY VANQUISHED. All he has to do is come on into the main office, downtown, and sign the papers. If only he could get out of the house. Instead, Zizzel's uncontrollable anxiety hauls him by the imagination through a duodenum of terror-- and everywhere but to the glistening, candy-studded skyline of human joy. Inspired by the work of Brothers Quay, David Lynch, and Buster Keaton, The Tiny O of Long is a tragitoon world made of puppets, film, sharp-toothed soundscapes, and live performance. This show is NOT suitable for children.
This project is partially supported by a Community Arts Assistance Program Grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.
